Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices announced the winner of its “Love Your Home” Sweepstakes held in conjunction with HGTV and its popular Good Bones home-renovation show. Aaron Zimmerman, a Sandy, Utah resident, was drawn for the $50,000 grand prize from nearly 5.7 million sweepstakes entrants. The sweepstakes also generated 12 weekly winners of $2,500 apiece.  The entrant total set a record for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices sweepstakes held in conjunction with HGTV, and was 77 above last year’s sweepstakes registrations. “This is a life changer for me and my family,” said Zimmerman, who with wife Kathryn is raising a 4-year-old son in the suburbs south of Salt Lake City. The Zimmermans want a home with a big backyard for their son, who has moderate autism spectrum disorder. “I can picture the home in my mind: four bedrooms, 2,200 square feet and a safe yard for our boy to run and play with our dogs,” Aaron Zimmerman said. “I smile just thinking about it.”“We’re elated to present our grand prize to the Zimmermans,” said Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices CEO Gino Blefari. “The family has big dreams and in some small way Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices is a part of it.”Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Utah Properties, presented the sweepstakes check to the Zimmermans at the brokerage’s Old Mill office in Salt Lake City. In addition, the two organizations contributed in the Zimmerman’s name to the Utah Parent Center for its ongoing support of families impacted by autism spectrum disorder. “We congratulate the Zimmerman family and wish them well in the future,” said Steve Roney, CEO and owner of Utah Properties. “We are so happy for our contest winners.”Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices launched the "Love Your Home" Sweepstakes in March as part of its national advertising campaign that included TV spots airing in spring. Posted on 14 July 2017 | 2:22 pm

Each year Travel + Leisure Magazine puts out a list of America's favorite mountain towns. This year, Travel + Leisure have awarded our beloved Park City, UT the top spot, beating out locations in Colorado (Durango, Aspen, and Vail) and Montana (Jackson, Bozeman, and Missoula). Between the accessibility to Salt Lake City, the airport, and the ski resorts to the myriad of both summer and winter activities, it's no wonder Park City is reining supreme.  Original post from - Park City: Voted America's favorite mountain townhttps://www.ksl.com/?sid=44831890 ...  more»

Pantone Green in Your Home

Posted on 3 July 2017 | 9:27 am

The Pantone color of the year for 2017 is called Greenery. Described as a zesty yellow-green, Greenery represents springtime renewal and refreshment. If you’re thinking of using green in your décor, you’ll enjoy learning more about the personality of this special color and why Greenery is a great color choice for our time. With such a dominant role in nature, the color green represents youth, growth and ultimately maturity. Green is often chosen as the color of money and signifies wealth and elegance. In some cultures, it has deeply religious significance. Choose green to promote harmony and well-being. Green comes in a rich spectrum of shades and tints, serving well as the main color for any décor, or as an accent to other color schemes. With tints of yellow, green grows sunnier and sharper as it does in Greenery. With blue tones, green turns cooler, more alpine. Think of Greenery as nature’s neutral. Greens are welcome in kitchens and dining rooms, as the most popular produce such as lettuce, limes, and peas are green. Pale greens are calming in bedrooms, and work well with blues and whites in bathrooms. You’ll find that green has a mood-lifting, nourishing effect, no matter which shade you choose. To introduce green more dramatically, choose a primary green, like the color on stoplights or in emeralds. Green means go, so it can be energizing, but keep in mind that such colors are best used only as accents. Express your healthy vitality by incorporating greens into your home....  more»

Park City's largest dinner party took place this past weekend on June 17th, 2017. Over 25 restaurants served more than 2,500 patrons on Saturday as locals and visitors gathered on Park City's historic Main Street to dine and enjoy live music in the open mountain air. Each restaurant displayed their culinary genius by creating perfectly curated multi-course meals ranging from American Gastropub to Thai and everything in between, most with wine or spirit pairings. On the day of the event, family style tables were placed from the top to the bottom of Main Street as the restaurants added personal flair to their tablescapes. This is one annual Park City event that shouldn't be missed      Photos from Tupelo's menu are featured below.    First Course: Second Course: Third Course: Fourth Course: Dessert:...  more»
